he principal objective of the project is to bring together innovative training materials that are sufficient to meet the needs of those working in the specific target area of the farming industry. The rationale for the project is to overcome the persistent lack of awareness that exists among farm workers in the European Union concerning the correct use of machinery for agricultural production. Workplace accidents due to the misuse of agricultural machinery continue to occur year after year. Some of these accidents are the result of insufficient maintenance of the machinery. One problem is that the technology used in the farming sector is constantly changing, making it difficult to ensure users are always fully up to date.
The first stage will be to analyse together the problems relating to training that exist in the member-states of the European Union (Spain, Italy, France, Portugal) and accession countries (Poland and the Czech Republic). Subsequently, specific training materials will be developed that will be designed to match the characteristics of the farming sector.
Essentially, the project being proposed by For.Ma.Agri fulfils a two-fold objective
