Innovation
The need for the continuous evolution of mechanised vehicles - both in terms of increased production and reduced costs, on the one hand, and improving safety for users of those machines, protecting the environment and enhancing the quality of the machines themselves, on the other - lead ENAMA to develop specific intervention programmes on research and development into innovative, hi-tech agricultural machinery.
ENAMA has continued an approach already adopted numerous times by the Conama body (as it was then) through a multitude of special projects. ENAMA invites manufacturers to present innovative proposals targeted at providing solutions to the aforementioned issues.
ENAMA regularly invites manufacturers to submit innovative proposals to solve problems relating to specific areas of intervention. It does so through the publication of notices for the granting of contributions to develop innovative agricultural machinery, which are systematically published on the Enama homepage.
It was back in November 1988 that ENAMA first started to produce cutting-edge prototypes of hi-tech agricultural machinery. Since then, around 109 prototypes have been developed through collaborations with manufacturers and public research institutes, and 22 new prototypes are currently under development (2007-2008). On completion, several of the prototypes have gone on to be used widely throughout Italy and have contributed to the resolution of a range of real problems in terms of the mechanisation of agriculture.
There follows a list of the prototypes on which ENAMA has worked, together with information on the manufacturers and research bodies involved in the project.
