EIMA 2010 - "Innovative mechanical / electronic technologies for agricultural machinery"
The introduction of mechanical / electronic technologies in agricultural machines is becoming increasingly important. By means of mechatronics (consisting of the combination of hydraulics, mechanics, electronics and software), agricultural machines can improve their performance in terms of flexibility of use, energy efficiency, final product quality and safety.
Unacoma in collaboration with the Mechatronics Club promotes - at EIMA International 2010 - this conference. in order to examine the trends and the innovative uses of mechatronics in the agricultural machinery industry,
The conference also intends to present the research lines of the Isotractor project, which arises from the collaboration between companies operating in the field of agricultural mechanics and the Intermech - Mo Re laboratory at Modena University and Reggio Emilia.
The Isotractor project aims to contribute to the development of innovative technology solutions for next-generation agricultural machinery such as: ISOBUS solutions for agricultural and functional safety management, wireless powered sensors, electromechanical actuators and supervision strategies for maintenance and diagnostics.
This is a new technology platform, with ISOBUS as common denominator that is an emerging agricultural industry standard that commands communication between the various mechatronic components of a traction system - working tools, enabling automation to drive operations, greater safety and Functional efficiency.
