MILAN - Prospects for technology and automation in fruit and vegetables: influence on product quality
10/04/2006
The subject of the VI Seminar IVTPA originates from the will to investigate what is the current "state of art" of technological innovations in two immediately contiguous sectors of the production of agri-food goods: pre-harvesting and post-harvesting.There is no qualitative improvement unless there is interest and support from technological innovation. There is no engineering, logistical or technical progress that does not require an adaptation of raw material to the old or new industrialization production rhythms. The seminar seeks to emphasize some indispensable demands for technological intervention in the strategic sectors of the agro-industry, which would benefit from solutions involving both the reduction of production costs and some, not negligible, effects on the quality of the crop.
